Pre-season is here, and for the next few weeks your whole mission in life is to find an edge for your fantasy football draft. We give a lot of knowledge across this site, but these cheat sheets are the distilled essence of it all.

Hey, the freaks know that you shouldn't take someone's cheat sheet as the word of god. We know it's just an opinion, and that's why we give you five opinions from experienced and diverse viewpoints.

We rank on a straight performance scoring system, so you TD-only and TD-distance leaguers might want to take this with a grain of salt. For the rest, read on.

1	Tony Gonzalez	If you listed him with the wide receivers he would have ranked in the top fifteen last year, enough said.
2	Antonio Gates	The next great tight end. Should be ranked No.1 next year.
3	Jeremy Shockey	Average yards per catch is up there with Gonzalez but he doesn’t see the ball enough.
4	Todd Heap	Yards per catch average was between 12-13 before the injury last year. The Ravens just need to throw the ball to him more often.
5	Jason Witten	Bledsoe loves to use the tight end so I don't expect his numbers to go down.
6	Dallas Clark	Only option in Indianapolis makes his value sore.
7	Alge Crumpler	Michael Vicks favorite target.
8	Doug Jolley	Jets will use the tight end more this year then they have in the past.
9	Jermaine Wiggins	Had more receptions and yards last year then the rest of his career combined.
10	Randy McMichael	A great talent but the Dolphins offense isn't great.
